We had to join the chorus of these just cuz we're in this world -and we are in it non stop with pregnant moms and expectant dads and new parents!

So, mamas, here's a collection curated just for you.  Enjoy:)

1.  Will Smith did a version of Just the Two of Us that still makes me cry every time I listen to it.

This is more than the chorus, because,in case you haven't heard it, here's a sneak peek:

From the first time the doctor placed you in my arms
I knew I'd meet death before I'd let you meet harm
Although questions arose in my mind, would I be man enough?
Against wrong, choose right and be standin up

From the hospital that first night
Took a hour just ta get the carseat in right
People drivin all fast, got me kinda upset
Got you home safe, placed you in your basinette

That night I don't think one wink I slept
As I slipped out my bed, to your crib I crept
Touched your head gently, felt my heart melt
Cause I know I loved you more than life itself
Then to my knees, and I begged the Lord please
Let me be a good daddy, all he needs
Love, knowledge, discipline too
I pledge my life to you

Chorus
Just the two of us, we can make it if we try
Just the two of us, (Just the two of us)
Just the two of us, building castles in the sky
Just the two of us, you and I

2.  Stevie Wonder's Isn't She Lovely is sort of the ultimate love song to a new baby, no?

I swear I once watched a new dad at Best Buy break into tears when this came on. Feel free to sub "he" for "she" because, they are all lovely.  Pregnant? You could just listen to the first 20 seconds, it's just a baby crying, so, you could just get used to that sound!

Isn't she lovely
Isn't she wonderful
Isn't she precious
Less than one minute old
I never thought through love we'd be
Making one as lovely as she
But isn't she lovely made from love

Best Aunt or Uncle song?  Talking Heads Stay Up All Night

Just the truth, we love our aunties and uncles, and some aren't parents, and they think that this is fun:/ (Also sort of a giant fan of David Byrne for many things, not least of them for openly speaking about Aspbergers.   Keepin' it real.)

Baby, baby, please let me hold him
I wanna make him stay up all night
Sister, sister, he's just a plaything
We wanna make him stay up all night
Yeah we do

(repeat)

Creed just nailed it with their simple perfect chorus tribute With Arms Wide Open.

With arms wide open under the sunlight
Welcome to this place I'll show you everything
With arms wide open
With arms wide open

(repeat if you sing fast)

Reba's You're Gonna Be is...well, just listen. It  says it all.

Even if you're not a country fan (we're into breaking down barriers and not judging) this song and the sentiments in it are universal.  It'll get your hands extra clean, and there may be some salty tears mixed in.

You're gonna fly with every dream you chase
You're gonna cry but know that that's okay
Sometimes life's not fair but if you hang in there

You're gonna see that sometimes bad is good
We just have to believe things work out like they should
Life has no guarantees, but always loved by me
You're gonna be.....

Or, y'know, practice your ABC's and Happy Birthday.  These are interesting times indeed. In that perspective way, you have much to celebrate-you're having a baby!! (We would not recommend that 1970's ballad because, well, just because.  But,no judgement, it's just not one we want stuck in our heads!)

Keep calm and wash on. And may all you be e healthy  and well.
