Here at Mom's the Word, as anyone who shops in store knows, we are a motley crew of age, gender and style. We respect individual style and follow trends, but believe that trends can be classic, if you love them.
Personally, I think that this fur vest is classic. It's on-trend this year, as it has been for the past two years, and in 10 years? It will still be wearable, and of "enduring interest, quality and style"-a definition of classic:)
And, I'm not the only one who feels this way, Allesandra Ambrosio wears this classic, beyond & bumped.
Several folks I work with would definitely agree with me, others might respectfully choose a different look by Tart, like this blazer,as classic- "traditional".
Still others might argue that the above would have to be black to be classic.(And we've got that covered too.)
I just got sucked into a blog post alerting us to the fact that my beloved ankle booties are definitely Out! I should be switching to calf booties. Accentuating what I consider my wider than usual caves is not happening. Not this year or any other. Of course, there was a time when I said I would never wear skinny jeans, so, yeah, there's that.
Your belly button may be in or out, everything else? You can make that call for yourself! If you feel like rocking what's In-distressed denim, mid calf booties and beyond? Have at it and feel fab! We love our clients who decide to dress beyond their usual comfort zones when dressing the bump, we also love our clients who know the style that they want and want to just bump that up. There is no right or wrong, no in or out, no good or bad. If you FEEL good, honestly, then it's all good. Feel frumpy or fat? THAT is out!
